I'm the Lead UX Designer. My main responsibility is the public-facing website but I also look after all aspects of UX within the business.
Projects come in all shapes and sizes but I try to funnel them via the same process. The start of which is to establish a well-written UX brief.
This is then followed by research - which might involve 1 to 1 interviews, running focus groups and surveys. From that research I'd create personas and user journey maps.
Finally moving onto the design phase which would involve creating sitemaps, user flows and lo-fi / hi-fi wireframes.
